love is in the air whimsical wednesday challenge # 40

happy wednesday :) hows your week going so far? good i hope.

this week over at WW we have a fun challenge for ya dealing with the word love. create a home decor project for valentines day or just for love in general. be sure to check out the super fabulous love shtuff ( sorry read my beloved morning mutts comics before i posted this ) the rest of the dt has revealed for us all :)
i created two projects so this is gonna be a lil pic heavy :)

im also entering these into the following challenges:
the pink elephant :photo inspired
anything goes: the one i love
cupcakecrafts: all you need is love

the first project is a vase i frou~froud up a tad

for the flowers i cut some circles out of shipping paper and tissue paper then spritzed them with homemade spun sugar distress ink glitzy spray

on the brown flower i added spun sugar distress stickles. i also added some crinkle ribbon around the top of the vase. i love crinkle ribbon.

these hearts are precut glitzed up chipboard.i took some wire and added random beads then wrapped it around the bottom part of the vase.

the heart is another precut piece of chipboard from my stash. i made the hat pins using 2 heart shaped chunky beads.
the stamped sentiment is from stephs set "with love" which can be seen and purchased along with others just by clicking ~>here <~ these are really fun sets and stamp perfectly so be sure to go grab ya some up :)

so...now project #2
i made a pocket decoration out of aida cloth. you can use burlap (which i dont have but love the look much better)or any cloth you like. if using regular cloth add a piece of cardstock in there against the back for stability. im using mine for decor but this makes a really cute lil bag for a gift too.

i cut my cloth into a 6X6 square then brought two corners together then the bottom, like a diaper basically. then i hot glued where the three met.

i tucked in a paper doily that i inked with distress ink. i added some crinkle ribbon and tulle plus 2 heart pins a button and some prima flowers

i added a frame for a photo which i attached a key embelli to. and then some pretty crocheted butterflies that one of my old DT leaders leah made.

pretty lil things arent they :) i also added some pearls to the bottom.

the sweet sentiment is from stephs set" with love" also. i cut the heart using my cricut and create a critter cartridgeusing ivory cardstock inked and dotted it up some.

finally done arent ya relieved :) you probably got through with your entire cup~a~whateva with this one eh :) thanks so much for sittin here so long i do appreciate your patience :) if ya havent checked out the rest of the dt reveal be sure to refill your cup cuz youre gonna spend a lot of time oohing and aaahing :)

a challenge card

happy tuesday :) heres a card i made using another cicely mary barker stamp. this one is willow fairy.

im entering this over at
papertakeweekly whos theme is happy highlights.
chocolatecoffeecardschallenges whos theme is "glitter latte"
cardmakinmamas: something old ( i havent used this stamp in over 6 months.)

i stamped the image directly onto kraft cardstock. then colored it with prisma pencils.i just use a blending stub no gamsol and such.

i added just a touch of stickles to her wings so they glisten lightly. thats my highlight to fit the ptw challenge.

i added pumice stone distresss stickles to the rock.

heres the inside. the butterflies are SU and the sentiment is from stephanie at whimsical designs. its from her set whimsical fun volume 1

happy monday! hope you had a terrific weekend. this week over at bbtb2 our lovely gal jeri has chosen our challenge, the 6 petal flower from BLOOM cartridge. i dont own this one and if you dont either its all good just use another 6 petal flower from any cart that has one. be sure to check out what the rest of the amazing dt have revealed for this fun challenge.

i used accent essentials for the flowers, cut 3 times each and layered, then added a pearl in centers.

i used home decor for the branches and MS punch for the butterflies

beyond birthdays for thank you and ms punch for the border

on the inside ( which i havent totally finished) i added a sentiment stamp from stephanie from her whimsical fun vol 1 set (click her name to go grab ya some :) )

i stamped directly onto kraft cardstock which i purchased from thekraftoutlet

the stamp i used on this is from a SU set. i colored in with distress inks. the butterflies are an inkadinkado stamp. i used victorian velvet ink and distress stickles on them.

just added some basic grey pearls

the sentiment is from whimsical designs everyday sentiments set

happy thursday :) one of my resolutions this year is to get back into challenge fun other than just DT work. so... this card is for the following challenges :

i used kraft catdstock for the base of my cards which i purchased at the kraft outlet i used a cicely mary barker stamp for this one. i colored her in with prisma pencils. adding just a touch of stickles to her wings. sorry for the poor photo its overcast here so my lighting really is crappy.

i also used a couple of pearls around the corners

i used my cricut and jasmine cartridge for these corners

for the background i just added in some dots and inked a bit with distress ink (weathered wood)

this sentiment on the inside is from stephanie over at whimsical designs. its from the set everyday sentiments

hey, guess what!
whimsical designs is having a design team call for the upcoming term. anyone whos interested in becoming a designer should click on the contact button at the whimsical designs blog and email stephanie for more information.

this week over at WW our challenge is make a card or project using hearts.

i made a cute lil 4X4 mini card and gift box.
ive entered this in the following challenges:
littlescrappieces:anything goes

for the card i used a prima stamp from the jack and jill collection. isnt jack just the sweetest guy

:) i colored him in with distress inks.

for the heart balloon i used my cuttelbug.i added twine. the sentiment and the little heart in the upper right corner are from stephanies "with love" set .

the heart border is from the set also i stamped the larger heart close together and cut out to make one long border. then i used a smaller heart stamp on the insides adding distress rock candy stickles.

for the box i used my cricut and tagsbagsboxesandmore cartridge. i cut the box at 5 inches, it holds 6 hershey kisses. when the valentines ones come out ill add those instead of the plain silver wrapped ones. just wanted to show the box filled ;)

heres the top of the box where it opens. i forgot to take pics of the sides, i stamped the biggest heart on each side.

happy wednesday :) and happy its june in january :) thats our theme for this week over at CCC be sure to skootch on over and see what fun the rest of the dt has sampled for us. im not at all in a summer kinda mood i was inspired by our very own janis on this one , thanks a bunch janis :)

i used walk in my garden for the flowerpot and sunflowers and pot and create a critter for the sun ( center part i used a punch) and grass. i added stickles to the sun.

i added some pop dots for dimension

the hoppin frog is cuttlebug and the sittin frog is a stamp. i added black pearls for their eyes.

the tag is cuttlebug and i computer generated the saying

happy monday:) this week over at BBTB2 our beyond words talented donna has chosen our challenge to be numbers. you can use any cartridge for this and any number or numbers. just make sure your project is a new one k :)

i made 2 cute little gift card (or money) holders . it just takes one piece of cardstock and then whatever patterned paper and embellies ya want to add. just click ~> here <~ to get beth moore's easy peasy text and visual instructions.

i used create a critter and george cartridges.

i used some pop dots under the cow and number 4 the wording is computer generated.

i used tree background paper to signify money doesnt grow on trees . my dad used to say that all the time and when i was making this that kept echoing in my head :) hed be proud of my $5 cheapness for sure lol shoot hed probably pocket it and replace it with a dollar :) oh wait, not his dollar im sure hed ask me for one ;)

heres what i came up with :)

us dt gals were allowed to choose any image we wanted so i chose lenny love #5 for my card

isnt he just the cutest :) i paper pieced him using 7gypsies paper. .i used my viva decor pearl pen for his nose and eyes.

for these hearts i used stephanies "with love"set.

these are really great stamps, you gets lots of sentiments and cute extras along with super quality and a great price.

the hearts are the same ones in the previous pic, i just stamped them stacked then cut them out to make one piece. i also stamped the sentiment onto some twill, also from the with love set. see how nicely they stamp out :)

bbtb2 caterpillar challenge

happy monday:) hope your weeks off to a fun start.

this week over at BBTB2 our adorable carole has chosen the challenge to be using the caterpillar from walk in my garden cart. if you dont own this one its all good , go ahead and use a caterpillar from another cart or just create one using circles :)

i made a box/bag using one sheet of an 8 1/2X11 piece of cardstock.you can find the super easy directions ~>here<~ it's super simple to make and cute.

along with the cute caterpillar i used the grass cut (border feature) leaves and bread tag from WIMG cart.

i used buttons and ribbon for the flowers and stems adding viva decor pearl pens for the centers.

computer generated the saying added some twine and a teensy clothespin

a side view. the butterfly is either an eksuccess or MS 3 step punch ( i used 2 of the steps) i forget which one, was at my buds rose's when i used it and forgot to have it accidently drop into my bag before i left :)

i made a birthday card for someone special.

i used a memory box stamp for the grapevine wreath. adding prima flowers and viva decor pearl pen crinkly ribbon and a paper doily. i inked up a bit with colorbox fluid chalk.

i added some butterflies using a MS punch.

for my border i used a ek success scallop punch.

the inside sentiment is also from the everyday sentiments set. for some reason the word miles looks a bit off kilter im looking at the card right now in the real i SWEAR it is not. it must just be the angle i took the pic.

this week over at BBTB2 our beautiful and sweetest gal krista has chosen our challenge to be the ice skate cut from winterwoodland. well duh me when i made the cut i inadvertently used my joys of the season cart instead.they are very very similiar cuts. if you dont own the cart any ice skate from another cart will do just have fun and be sure to share with us! also please make sure your card or project is new , no back linking :) if you havent yet, be sure to see what fabuloustastic creations the rest of the dt has made . another week of wowness from them .

heres my card

for the ice skater i used winter woodland. remember my duh moment i mentioned.. i actually cut the skater out before the skates..why did i change cartridges? the ice skates are on the page under the skater. i was looking right at them! my dopey moments are occurring rather closely together lately. uh oh. ;) ill blame the reason on the season ;)

i used a bit of colorbox fluid chalk on this and just drew on the lines for the laces. was gonna add on some mini pom poms but cant find what i did with them. no doubt the minute i finish writing up the blog here theyll reappear. oh well pretend they are on there.. or not ;)

i used foam stickies under the skates. i ALWAYS know where my beloved foamies are :)

i used the shadow/blackout (s) for the skater chick.

and computer generated the saying.

whimsical wednesdays home for the holidays

happy wednesday :) this week over at WW our fun challenge is to create a christmas or winter themed home decor project. be sure to check out the awesome projects the rest of the dt ladies have come up with i tell ya im amazed by their creativity every week.

our sponsor this week once again is our ever generous NANNE who is offering up some websters scrap supplies. how sweet eh!

ive made a couple of things so this is going to be a bit picture heavy :)

for this super easy and inexpensive home decoration i took a small grapevine wreath ( about 50 cents at michaels) and added some plastic clear facets , pearls and paper flowers and punched some branches from a MS punch.

these facets were clear, to color them i added them to a plastic baggie added a couple drops of alcohol inks, smooshed them around a bit let them dry and waahoo, gorgeous color :) i added some glitz to the branches using my viva decor glitter writer. what i like about this compared to stickles is the gel liner dries raised where stickles dry flat.

i added some chunky glitter to the flowers but im not sure you can see that from this photo, in the real its pretty just a bit of sparkle.

i covered a 4 inch coaster with paper, behind it i attached some lace that i distressed a little with distress stain. for the candle i used my cricut and joys of the season cartridge. i applied viva decor glass effects over it. for the berries i used cloud 9 raindots. the stamp is from stepahnies set called snow much fun. you can see the entire set plus other sets ~>here<~

for my next projects i made these fantastic treat boxes that i cased from jayne over at jaynes designs.for the exact instructions head on over to her blog you will see a link up to her boxes on her side bar. just click on the pic and it will take you right to them. be sure to check out her entire blog though , youre jaw will just *hit~ the~ floor* she is soooo talented! thank you so much jayne for your inspiration and allowing me to copy and post the cutest boxes ever!

see that sweet little stamp its from the snow much fun set too. in fact all the stamps on todays projects are stephanies.

a bit blurry huh...sorry about that. i love that her stamps are clear type so you can shape them some. i colored the leaves in with marker then added viva decor pearl pen for berries. i added a tad bit of liquid applique ( didnt heat it) to the tops of the marshmallows.

the next one is a cute lil reindeer

and last but not least mr snowman and his flakey friend ( from snow much fun stamp set)

i added some chunky glitter to him and stickles to little flakey

scraptastic mondays christmas anything goes

happy monday :) are ya all done with your christmas shopping yet? me neither :) altho i say it drives me bonkers i have to admit i love the last minute craziness.. not the koo~koo ( or as my brother fondly calls them, kookaloooks) people running you over with their carts to get that last popular have to have toy on the shelf or knocking you down to get just one person in line ahead of you but..... oh i dont know... just spending time with the people like me who swear next year theyre gonna have their shopping done way early or online shop instead :) i love that bonding experience with strangers. have a great conversation with someone youll never see again :) oh well , tis the joy of the season right ? ;)
well i have some sad news, cindy has decided to end her scraptastic challenges so this will be my last post for scraptastic challenges. its been a lot of fun creating projects using her using her cute digi stamps . thank you so much for the fun ride cindy :)

so.. anyway what youre really here for
oh and my guest designer "bug" is back with us today too :) yay!!! i'll show his project right after mine. that's how he wants to do it this time since his was first last time. isnt he just thoughtful. :)

this week at SM our challenge is to make anything christmasy. i need a few more altered bags and really enjoy making them so thats what i did. yeah i know i also made some last week for ya but cindys digis just dress up a bag ( or anything) so cutely. and these particular ones i used went perfectly with the gift inside..

gingerbread cookies :) yum!

this lil guy is cindys digi gingerbread boy

i paper pieced his attire. i used liquid applique for the frosting look and used foam stickies under him for dimension.

i love this banner thats included on the digi. the sentiment is stephanies from whimsical designs from the whimsical fun volume 1 set. i made a faux embossed look by first stamping in white then stamping again just slightly off kilter in black. its really cool looking in person :) sorry the photo is blurred a tad i just noticed that now, you can still see how great the stamps stamp out tho :)

for his cute lil nose i added a cloud9 raindot and signo pen to highlight his eyes. i just used my circle punch and chicken scratch for the tag.

our sweet lil gingery girl is called gingerbread cutie

and isnt she ever :)

i did the same with her as the boy but added distressed stickles in spun sugar to her lips and hair ties. i also added chunky glitter on the paper and a pearl on her dress.

can ya see that sparkle a little better :)

again i just used a 1 inch circle punch and chicken scratched saying on the tag

sit back and be prepared to be amazed. remember he's only 3 years old :)

bug made a paper doll with gingerbread boy. BUT not just any old gingerbread boy, this one can do tricks....

how cool is that! he can stand on his head all by himself :) bug says hes one amazing cookie. i think bug is too :)

i highlighted the eyes then bug wanted to use my "special pen" (signo) too so he highlighted over mine. then he made the squiggly lines and colored in the hair. . he too wanted frosting on his cookie :) his favorite color today is red so thats what he colored his outfit in. great job bug and thank you for being my awesome guest designer again :)

papercutz #119 all hearts come home for christmas

happy friday! are you all prepared for christmas yet? just when i think i am i always think of something else i need to do or get. but thats all in the fun of it right? ;) i actually love the last minute extras and crowds of people doing the same thing . yeah i know im weird.
so.. this week over at PCC our theme is to make a christmas themed card or project using hearts.
i used my cricut and winterwoodland for this simple card.

i used tagsbagsboxesandmore cartridge for the heart and computer generated the saying. the snowflakes are a marvy punch. i added stickles to the centers. the gorgeous paper is my minds eye. i faux stitched around the kraft card base. i hand cut the snow hills and added colorbox fluid chalk. i like the kinda country bumpkin feel to this.

happy wednesday! this week over at CCC our challenge is make 2 christmas gift tags. i love making gift tags :) and using my cricut and very merry tags makes it so easy!

ive only shown a couple here, but when you cut these you get a deer cut so of course i dont want these wasted, so i just cut a regular tag then adhere the deer cut on it. the example being the first 2 on the left. the deer cut on the first tag is the deer from the tag next to it. i just inked up a manilla tag . i also used distress stickles and viva decor inka gold on it. you could also just use the extra deer cuts on a card :) i like the masculine yet prettiness of these

heres one more tag i made

i added some marvy punch snowflakes and stickles and a little colorbox fluid chalk.

if you dont have this cart it really is worth buying. the tags are simple but cute enough to leave on their own or you can really doll them up. its a great way for the kids to create their own gift tags too. 2 simple cuts and your done.

scraptastic mondays challenge # 6

happy monday :) this week over at SM our challenge is to create an actual christmas tree ornament or make a tag but it MUST have a christmas bulb. of course we'd love it if you used cindys digis but you dont have to to join in with us.

i chose to dress up some mini lunch bags. i used cindys digis called "sweet elves"

i paper pieced their hats and stickled and colored in the rest .

the adorable snowflakes are from stephanie at whimsical designs

are they cute or what! the no peeking sentiment also comes from stepahnies snow much fun set.

my extras include twine, felt snowflakes from SU , a mini clothespin that i added stickles to , viva decor inka gold ( around edges of bulbs) and colorbox fluid chalk

happy monday:) are ya excited about christmas? all done with your shopping yet? yep and no for me.
i had a lovely lil christmas present from my bestie rose. a couple day vacation :) wahooie! she drove up to get me and bring me back to her place( i dont drive) a 3 hour round trip. she took me to my new local hobby lobby first then we went to her place and scrap browsed and shopped and baked and crafted and learned a few new techniques.
we also teased her sweetest ever hubby that i was moving in..poor guy ya shoulda seen the look on his face :) it was priceless :) he picked up my suitcase to make sure it was full before he headed out the door this morning lol . he was doing the happy dance im sure! ;)

so... this week over at bbtb2 our delightful lori has chosen our challenge to be make a tag using the winter frolic cartridge. i dont own this cart so instead used winter woodland. if you dont own that cart you can also substitute with another, just make sure its a new card :) be sure to check out the rest of the dt creations, marvelous as always :)

for this i cut the tag and tag (s) then cut the regular snowman and his accessories 1 inch smaller than i did the tag. i layered these cuts. added stickles for his nose and pearls. i added some stickles to the snowflakes and to the snowman and some sparkly ribbon.

whimsical designs winter fun

happy wednesday :) this week over at WD stephanie has challenged us to create a card or project or scrap page that is winter themed with sparkly. you can use stickles, glimmer mists or glitter etc or you can add a pre~made embelli..anything as long as it sparkles :)

for this i used my cricut and doodle charms (snowman) and happily ever after (snowball pail) cartridges. i added stickles to them. the ever cute snowflakes are from stepahnies brand spankin new stamp set called snow much fun.

you can pic this set plus 3 other fun sets up ~>here<~. don't you like how easy i just made your shopping experience ;)

is that snowflake adorable! i used my 1 inch circle punch for them then inked and added stickles. the saying on here was computer generated. i used little pompoms for the snowballs and added stickles to them. the snowman has a sign in his hand that says got snow?, hard as i tried i could not get an up close shot of this, probably too much sparkly but if you click on the first photo you can see it much bigger. i added a pom pom for the ball on his hat plus just used the trimmings from another for his hat brim.

i used foam stickies under all the elements for some fun depth

happy wednesday! this week over at cricutcardz our theme is make a card for christmas based on our favorite song. i actually have 2 faves, holly jolly christmas and do you see what i see. ill probably end up putting this in a frame and using it as a little decoration. i cased this off myself ( again).

i used doodlecharms (border feature) for my cuts. the snow hills i hand cut and inked with colorbox fluid chalk. the b/g paper is basic grey i just love the front paper and saddened that its the last of it in my stash :( i computer generated the saying and added stickles. easy peasy card :)

this week i made a card using the digi "snowman cutie"

how adorable is he with that yummy candycane and sweet flakey friends :)

i paper pieced his hat and scarf and the candycane. i used my viva decor glitter liner for all the glittery, and red pearls on the holly which i also paper pieced. the extra snowflakes are a cuttlebug die.

this cute sentiment "all my friends are flakes" is from stephanie, over at whimsical designs awesome new stamp set called "snow much fun" you can purchase this set and others just by clicking her name. these stamps are awesome. lots of sayings in each set and neat fonts.

happy saturday! i sure hope youve been having fun on our blog hop!

if youve just come from our talented and lovely sabrinas blog then youre headed in the right direction if not start back at the WD blog where youll get the full list.

at the end of my post ill send you off to your next adventure :)

for our hop i made a couple of easy peasy gift card or tea bag holders using a mini glassine and brown bag.

for this first i tucked a gift card inside then folded down the front of the bag. then i took a strip of some of my scrap stash inked it and adhered it to the front of the bag up where the fold is then i cut paper doily in half and inked it with distress ink and adhered that. tied it with some ribbon to keep the bag closed added my embellies, a chipboard scallop, cuttlebug aida cloth heart and button and the tag. the stamp i used is from the whimsical fun volume 1 set. isnt that just a make you smile font? it sure does me :) i used su ink in certainly celery ( my fave su color)

for the glassine bag i added a tea bag inside (white tea with peach, yum :) )

i did the same directions with this one using the other half of paper doily, twine, adding a pretty crocheted flower, button and dragonfly embelli.
the stamp i used is from the set called "with love".
both of these sets plus the others which all include lots more sentiments can be purchased at stephanies store do ya want a looksee from here first....

these are the awesome sets hardly have to apply any pressure and they come out perfectly every time. i tried them out with several different ink brands and chalkink with zero problems. im not a stamper buy nature so if i tell ya there good i promise they are :)

papercutz #118 jingle all the way

happy friday! i hope you had a terrific thanksgiving. this week over at papercutz our challenge is to use an image of jingle bells.
ive had this paper forever and am trying to use up all my old stuff, get it out of my cramped space so of course i can refill it ;) be sure to check out the rest of the fab dts cards and projects for some great inspiration.

for my card, i used my cricut and and joys of the seasons cartridge

i added some red pearls for berries on the holly leaves and tied some twine for a bow. wish i had some red rope cording to match the background paper. oh well, if i find a little piece before i send this off ill change it. i also used colorbox fluid chalk. the sentiment is from the paper pack ( daisyd's) and the base of my card is SU cherry cobbler.

i used thin pop dots under the bells for some dimension.

for my project today i made a mini card and altered a half toilet paper roll.. dontcha just love how you can take a piece of something youd normally just trash and make it into something pretty :)

for the card i used my cricut and accent essentials (accents 33 and 33s) cartridge for the flowers.to the centers i used liquid pearls. behind the flowers i used some paper wraffia that i colored with distress stain. the butterflies are martha stewart punch.

i used a stamp from the everyday sentiments set isnt it sweet and comforting.

for the t/paper roll gift box i just cut the roll in half adhered my paper and lace then added the same elements that are on the card. i also cut a piece of paper to make a handle.i cut a circle slightly larger than the bottom and glued that to the inside so the gift wouldnt fall out :) the tag i just used my own chicken scratch

for my project today i made 2 super easy gift boxes

these are super simple to make i promise. you can get both written and visual directions for this from the kraftoutlet

i also added some canvas bags that i stamped on they both fit right inside the box.

i made these before we received our stamps from stephanie how cool was it that one of the stamps in the set matched perfectly with my project :)

the stamp is from the with love set which you can see in full on friday

isnt this font so pretty!i just added a ribbon and crocheted flower and some colorbox fluid chalk.

i also made a male version of the box. i havent added anything inside..yet.

again i used a stamp from the with love set . dont you just adore how each word is a different font.

i also love how this stamp matches how i feel when you leave me your sweet comments :)

( i love this new color) the stamped sentiment is SU.

happy monday! :) this weeks fun challenge over at SM is to create a christmas card or project with NO red, green or gold.
i used cindys cute digi "naughty or nice" for a card

isnt she a sweetie.

i paper pieced her using basic grey paper. i added a pom pom and cotton to her hat. a little glitter on her shirt and socks ( wish that photoed better, its pretty sparkly ) in the b/g paper i used viva decor glitter writer for the centers in the snowflakes. i also used my signo white pen,colorbox fluid chalk and rhinestones. i also used spun sugar distress stickles on her lips.

i added foam stickies under our girl for a little dimension.

happy wednesday! hope your weeks been good so far. ive been majorly sick for a bit but feeling way better so its good to be back in crafty mode :)
please be sure to read the post all the way to the end cuz i have some exciting news at the end :) and it involves YOU!

this week over at WW our challenge is to create a card or project adding texture. fun eh!

for my project this week i picked up an unfinished wood frame and colored it with tim holtz distress stains. love this stuff!

i used a sweet leblanche stamp colored in slightly with distress inks. i then covered with utee (ultra thick embossing enamel) this looks like a piece of wood too dontcha think.i tucked a folded paper doily behind it

i added a few buttons and prima flowers

i also included a piece of lace and beautiful crinkle ribbon ( prariebirdboutique) the hearts i cut using my cuttlebug, they are aida cloth. added a button and heart pins.

i chicken scratched ( my own handwriting) the sentiment and added a couple heart buttons.

sure hope ya enjoyed my lil project :) be sure to play along with us this week we love seeing your take on the challenges.

happy monday! this week over at bbtb2 our super talented and sweet melissa has chosen our cut to be the mouse from the meow cart. woo hoo i dont own this but have been borrowing it from my buddy rose forever and a day now. thank you friend :) if you dont have the cart no worries just use a mouse from a different cart.. i know doodles charms and create a critter have them for sure.

im in christmas themed projects mode right now so i made a cute little tag

along with the meow cart for mousy i used joys of the season for his lil hat and mug. i added some liquid applique to his hat. he has lots of whiskers cuz i got a little overzealous with my pen .. i did this twice and third time is not always a charm for me. i figure no ones gonna notice as they should hopefully be too busy ripping into their present ;)
for the snowman i used doodlecharms. i added some stickles to him.. again my over~zealousness too over. he really doesnt sparkle quite as much as he looks in the photo. ok im looking at him now yes he does.as you know im not a sparkly kinda chick so im not really thrilled with this one. the snowflakes are a marvy punch i added stickles to them too. the sentiment is a stamp from my sentiments exactly (winter sentiments).

happy monday! this week over at SM our challenge is to use a fold card , no shaped or a2 type of card AND need to use a die cut and ribbon.
i made my first pedestal card. these are so easy and fun to make. if you dont know how be sure to go to my side bar and click on marys cardztv link she has an awesome easy to follow video tutorial. thanks mary!

for my card i used cindys cute lil pilgrim couple called "happy pilgrims" doesnt cindy make the cutest digis!

i paper pieced the clothing and used my cuttlebug for the die cut leaves and the label. i used colorbox fluid chalk for color and added distress stickles. i also faux stitched around the card with my singo pen. ( i love this pen!)

i added buttons and used some paper wraphia ribbon. i also put a paper doily behind our happy pilgrims, i thought it gave it an old fashioned thanksgiviney look :)

and the sentiment i used my chickenscratch because i adhered the darned paper as i was waiting for my computer generated font to print. dorky me lol i used a light colored pen first then a darker ovver it for a sort of embossed look. it looks better in person. i added distress stickles and rhinestones

paper cutz let's talk turkey

happy friday! this week over at PCC were to use an image of a turkey on our cards/projects. be sure to check out the rest of the dts fun makes :) since i was awol last week i made 2 projects for this week.
first a card for a friend

for my card i used my cricut and create a critter cartridge for the cute turkey. the leaves and pumpkins are cuttelbug.i also ran the panels behind the turkey thru the c/bug.added colorbox fluid chalk and distress stickles and a stamped sentiment. thats it easy peasy :)

second is an invitation. i actually cased this one from myself from a few years ago.

i used my cricut and stretch your imagination (turkey),animal kingdom (pig), plantin (apple) and paperdolls (spoon, cornstalks, axe, cornucoppia) and mini monograms (scallop) cartridges.

uh oh... i think piggy knows whats up ;) or may be wondering ;) im not telling :)

i hand cut the chimney and smoke swirls also the window and awning. .added colorbox fluid chalk to it all.

just a bit of look into my sense of humor. yep i have one :)

scraptastic mondays challenge #2

happy monday! this week over at SM our theme is using our favorite color. also we must include embossing and twine. my favorite color is orange.. now not that bright happy normal orange, i always have to ink that up, but ones in the family like burnt sienna all the fall type oranges. my next house im going to use these colors in at least one room (probably my kitchen) that way i can always feel like its fall all year round . id be in heaven :)

for this weeks challenge i made a card, wanna see it? ;)
i used cindys digi called "the pumpkin patch"

are these lil guys cuties or what?! i used viva decor glass effects gel on the eyes, and mouths

i used twine in my buttons. the leaves are cuttlebug which i used distress stickles and ink on

for my embossing i cut a circle and ran it through my cuttlebug with swiss dots folder then cut a smaller circle and used my very own chicken scratch for the wording. i faux stitched with my white pen.

happy monday! this week over at BBTB2 our ever sweet mona has chosen our challenge to be using the word joy from winterwoodland cartridge. i have this cart but have loaned it to my friend rose so instead i used joys of the season cart.if you dont own the cart its all good you too can substitute just make sure your project is new for this challenge :)

the wreath is a memorybox stamp i added mb tiny rhinestones to it. the birds and mistletoe are also from joy of the season.the beautiful paper is memory box. i added colorbox fluid chalk and tore the paper a little. i added memorybox snowflake rhinestones to this.

Happy Monday!! and welcome. how exciting today is our first challenge over at scraptastic mondays. im so honored that cindy asked me to be on her team with the rest of this fabulous design team she has picked. cindy has created all the digi's for us to use. they are the cutest! with our challenges you dont have to use her digis but of course we'd love for you to plus once you see them show cased i think youre gonna want to :)
so onto my first project which is making a gift bag or box with a thanksgiving theme.also it must include stitching, a tag and a button.

the digi i used is called turkey lurkey ( the name is as cute as the digi eh :) )

heres TL i paper pieced him with an inked up doily behind him and my button i added hemp twine and then some paper wrapphia behind it. the acorns

for my tag i just used a circle punch and added my chicken scratch ;) i also faux stitched using my fabulous newish signo uniball pen. the best pen out there i swear! the leaf is a cuttlebug die cut i used the cutest boys evuhs ( tim holtz) distress inks and stickles on it.

for the box i used my cricut and spring holiday cards cartridge. i hand drew the acorns and the pumkins are just cut from prepatterned paper.

happy friday! hope youre ready for some fun! are cindys digis the cutest ever! im so looking forward to more of her designs. and the DT have just created the best stuff! be sure to join us every monday at scraptastic mondays. we'll be starting our new challenges this monday november 7th. as you can see we have an awesome design team! i promise youre gonna love this :)

so were starting things off with a fun little hop. be sure to check out everyones projects and check out cindys digi shop. youre going to want to purchase them all.

i made 2 cute little projects

the first one is a hershey kiss holder. its super quick and easy to make.

on this i used the digi snowman with wreath. isnt he just adorable peeking through :) i colored him in with markers adding stickles on his nose and the wreath. added a little tag and cut out snowflakes from the patterned paper i touched them up with stickles and added a rhinestone to the centers.

cute eh :) what you do is take a piece of cardstock that is 5X51/2. i used patterned cardstock but if youre gonna use plain and want to stamp on it do that. score at 1~1/2, 2~1/2 and 4 inches. then fold up tent style. secure with strong adhesive tape. add your hershey kisses . i used a glue dot on the bottoms of the two end kisses so they dont fall out :)

next i made a bonbon box this is for my daughter so i put her favorite peanut butter cups ( fit 8 mini ones) instead of bonbons .

i just love cindys sweet gingerbread tags and sweet they are! wouldnt this box be awesome with gingersnaps cookies tucked inside :) yum :) or a gingerbread brownie:) bigger yum!:)

on these i used colorbox fluid chalk, white signo gel pen ( the best pen out there!) a marker ( mistletoe leaves)and viva decor pearl pen ( berries and buttons)

cute cute cute!

sorry i dont have a link to the box but if ya just google it youll find plenty of tutorials. this one is not a mini box. those only hold one.

happy monday :) well its the last monday of the month and you know what that means.. time for our bbtb2 hop :)
if you just came from the super sweet pennys place then your headed in the right direction.
this week its my turn to choose our cut over at bbtb2. i decided on one of the ghosts from paper dolls cartridge. if you dont have that cart its ok just use a ghost from another :) be sure to come play along with us this week and share your BOO~tiful creations with us :)

i made a peeka~BOO candy holder
i found the directions on splitcoaststampers. <~~~ that should take you right to it)

all of the cuts are from p/dolls except the pumpkins which are from create a critter

i hand drew the spider. added stickles for some fun :) computer generated text.

this is made for a foiled type of candy but i dont have any here so i improvised with a tootsie roll. i just used a glue dot to keep it securely in place and to keep the front flap to stay closed i again used a glue dot

paper cutz challenge # 115 leaves

happy friday :) this week our challenge at PCC is turning over a new leaf..making a card or project using leaves, LOTS of them . AND no green or blue
i love leaves. i grew up in the beautiful upper peninsula of michigan and oh this time of year is so awesome! lots of maple and oak trees, my favorites. when i close my eyes and breathe in i can smell those wonderful trees and leaves even after all these years have passed. every single day... for 27 years.. ive regretted moving away from there to crappy ass california.
ok so ill get my mind off all that...;)
this week i made a wreath

i took a grapevine wreath and then cut out a bunch of leaves with my cuttlebug. when i started this i used ivory colored c/stock and was gonna ink em all up like usual.. but dontcha know i grabbed for my greens every single time! so.. i went ahead and recut them all in colored paper. there was less frustration in that .. i have 50 or so pretty inked up leaves waiting to be used now. :)

i added colorbox fluid chalk to the leaves and some distress stickles. the cute scarecrow is a brass stencil embosser..well it used to be an embosser til i smooshed it putting it in the machine wrong.. now i just set it down and run a pen through the stencil lines . it comes out looking like a stamped image that i sloppily color in. the pumpkins are some my daughter gifted to me

i added some crinkle ribbon, prima flowers and pulled apart some of the vine sticks and added self adhesive pearls and a couple of rhinestones. really simple project but i think it turned out nice ;)

whimsical wednesdays fall cuties

happy wednesday :) this week over at WW cathryn has set our fun challenge to include an animal on our project and of course we have our awesome sponsor for the month , patsy from prairiebirdboutique with my favorite crinkle ribbon to add to our project. make sure to check out what the rest of the DT have created.

for todays challenge i made napkin rings by recycling a paper towel holder. my bestie bud rose made the cloth napkins for me arent they pretty! . she got cream cheese swirl brownies and choc chip cookies and pie crust encased choc chip cookies in trade ;) i love the rustic look this gives my holders. thank you so much rose i love these!

i used my cricut and create a critter cartridge to make the turkeys.

heres the other next to a regular sized dinner plate.

for this one i dolled her up in a lil pink hat and added a flower. i added white and orange crinkle ribbon from prairiebirdboutique

the leaves are from cuttlebug i colored them in with tim holtz distress stains and added distress stickles.the white crinkle ribbon is from PBB i added paper wraphia which i purchased from the kraft outlet.

added a few other lil extras too.

i used white crinkle ribbon on this its hard to see in pics its by the handmade paper button i made

the pumpkin is cuttlebug cut and emboss die i just otherwise adhered on some raffia in cream and orange, glued a button to a craft pick, painted a corrugated cardboard piece then applied distress stain and stickles to it.. just add on on whatever suits ya.

i used my cricut and create a critter cartridge for the fishbowl and its contents.

i added distress stickles on the sand cut, added cloud9 raindots for the bubbles and robyns nest dewdrops in the corners. i added colorbox fluid chalk and my singo pen to the mix :)

i put this on one of those action wobblys ( thank you so very much stephanie !!) i love these!

wish i could show it in action :) trust me tho these are a must have!

ghouls and goblins..happy wednesday! this week over at CTV~CCC were to use any or all of these creatures for our cards. i chose to use a few of each. be sure to make your way over and see what frightful cards the rest of the dt has created.and play along too!

for my card i used paperdolls for the green monster. i attached one of those action wobbly thingys i wish i could photo for ya how he jiggles this is just way too cute! thank you so much stephanie for sending me these!!

the rest of the cuts came from some prepacked paper and the ghost is a $bin stamp set from target. i used pop dots and colorbox fluid chalk. easy peasy :)

happy monday :) this week over at bbtb2 its our sweet and awesomely talented susans turn to pick our challenge. she chose the witch from happy hauntings. i really want this cart.. but it'll have to stay on my wish list for now. i used a childs year instead. if you dont own the cart go ahead and used a different one too

i cased this card from one of my fave designers audrey pettit. you can view her awesome card ~~>here<~~. when i saw her card i knew it was one my daughter would just love so i just had to do it :)
so heres my take

i used a doily that i cut off the outer lacy part of, and adhered that part under the brown ribbon ( nifty idea audrey !)i also added a bit of cloth under that. i inked it using tim holtz distess ink.i also added viva decor pearl drops to the witch. the bat is an ead vinyl sticker. i used my brand spankin new singo white pen for some faux stitching.

heres an up close of the paper doily. happy halloween is another ead sticker. paper is recollections. pearls are viva decor pearl pen. i just noticed my faux stitching wasnt finished. it is now ;)

papercutz in the pink

happy friday! as we all know this month is breast cancer awareness month. hope youve had your mammie or at least got one scheduled. if not.. please do it :)
in celebrating pink month this week our theme at PCC is in the pink..be sure to go check out the pink goodness from the rest of the dt too.

i created a simple but pretty little card for someone i know that recently had to have a breast removed due to cancer. keep her in your prayers please.

i used sei paper for this. all i did was cut out the flowers and butterfly from the paper and pop dotted them on. i added corners and colorbox fluid chalk. i know super simple but this paper is pretty so i didnt think anything else needed to be done.

happy wednesday! this week over at WW halloween is creeping through all our homes...were to create a spooktacular home decor project :)

i chose to spook up a small grapevine wreath with some fun embellishments.

for my witch i used my cricut and a childs year cartridge.(shes the shift key) i cut off her broom and cat and a bit of her arm. i kept the top piece of broom attached for her spoon to stir her bubbly brew with. i added stickles to her cape. the cauldron and potion bottles are from paperdolls. i embossed the bottels with utee . i added cloud9 raindots for bubbles. the rats are martha stewart punch.

the spider is cuttlebug. i made a cocoon out of cotton ball then added stickles.

i made the broom from a craft pick and raffia.

the bats are cuttlebug.

the poisonous flower is from accent essentials

i hand wrote the witchyshop sign and added a bit of fabulous crinkle ribbon from prairiebirdboutique.

i also want to share another card i made using stamps from another one of our sponsors tanner from mrcricutcrazy.com he is offering to one random winner a choice of 1 stamp set. thank you so much tanner! ive really had fun with your stamps :)

i used the flowers, bees and sentiment from the set simply everything volume 1 .
i added pearl centers to the flowers using viva decor pearl pen then adhered with foam stickies. i stamped the bees then stamped their bodies again for just a little depth. i hand drew the vines and colored the leaves in with su watercolor pencil (no water just colored)

be sure to check out tanners stamps. he has some fun sets and they really are good quality and easy to use, hardly had to apply pressure for great clean images.

happy monday :) this week over at bbtb2 our very talented and sweetheart theresa is our hostess :) she has chose for us to use the halloween kitty from hello kitty. how fun cuz i dont care who ya are ya gotta just love kitty :) this is also my fave cut from the cart. thanks theresa :) be sure to go check out what the rest of the purrrrfectly awesome dt has done with this cut.

here's my card i used the card feature.

for kittys bag i used doodlecharms. i adhered a vinyl sticker from ead designs.

i computer generated the text purrfectly spookable .

the pumpkin is also hello kitty. i made a candy holder out of it .

i cut the pumpkin at 3 inches. then did a shadow cut at 3 inches for the back. i took a 2X3 piece of cardstock and scored it at 1/4 and 1/2 on 3 sides. i cut off the corners where the score lines run across each other. sorry i didnt take pics..youll understand when you see yours. i adhered this with tacky tape between the shadow and pumpkin cuts. heres a side view for you. this should be big enough for one of those ghiradelli or square candies.hope this is helpful :)

happy wednesday! this week over at whimsical wednesday were to create a bag or box thats a fun way to wrap up treats. i couldnt make up my mind on just one thing so i made several. this is going to be a bit picture heavy so thanks in advance for sticking it out :)

before i show you what i came up with i wanted to let ya know we have 2 sponsors this week. wow huh! each will be giving away some fun to one random winner each

ok now on to my projects... all the tags and ribbons are from the cuttin cafe and prairiebirdboutique. included colorbox fluid chalk too.

this is a gift for my daughter. this is one of those sweet test tube holders. i found the directions on splitcoaststampers. my bestest rose( <~~~ go check hers out) and i got together and made these. the soap bottle is from target already decorated.

the next one

for this lil altered lunch bag i used my cuttlebug and cut a marquee image on the front of the bag then added some acetate. the bat is from my cricut and hello kitty cartridge.

i used a stamp from justritestampers (witch way to the treats set) all over the bag.

next.....

i used a glassine bag for this. the cute lil ghostie is from my cricut and paperdolls cartridge.

the candy corn are printables from the cutting cafe set too.

just a side view i just glued the ghost and candy onto the front of the bag.

and last but not least........

here i used one of reginas fun lil milk carton printables from her halloween/fall milk carton set. i dont own the programs that you can cut these with so i did it by hand.very easy except this particular set has cut outs. i didnt want to mess up the sweet leaf that is on this so instead i used my cuttlebug and made a leaf then adhered it where the original leaf cut is. a duh moment after i had this assembled already was that i may have been able to run this thru my c/bug with my die cut therefore getting a cut image in the carton. the leaves are almost exactly alike. ill have to try that out later.

i think it turned out pretty using another tag that i distressed a tad

from reginas set behind the leaf tho.. i used colorbox fluid chalk and colored in the leaf then added distress stickles. i also added some rhinestones around it. did a little dot doodling on the box and added a button.

just wanted to show that the tag can be prettied up too. this is the same tag used on the test tube project. i covered the circle sentiment with the crocheted flower.and added a few little extras.

i added the beautiful crinkle ribbon ( it has a little glimmer to it that i cant capture with my cam )

i cut the heart from aida cloth with my c/bug. some tulle ( i think thats how thats spelled ;) ) twine, lil flower. raffia and a felt leaf.

well i sure hope ya stayed with me this long :) thanks so much for visiting and i hope ive inspired you to play along with us this week and share with us some of your treat wraps :)

happy wednesday :) our challenge over at CCTV~CCC is to think pink and make a card or a lil sumthin for someone you may know whos dealing with or has had breast cancer. be sure to go see what the rest of the dt has pinked up .
i made a card for a guy to give to that special someone to remind her that he cares or reminding her to go get that mammogram.
im also entering this into the link up for pink party. be sure to head on over there and support the cause. they are having an awesome link party with a huge amount of prizes from 153 sponsors.. how wonderful to have so many caring sponsors to help support breast cancer awareness.

i used george cart for the hearts and the cute lil mices come from meow lite, that ive borrowed forever and a day from my best buddy rose ( what a sweetie huh! )
for the ribbon i used the ampersand from george and just cut to resemble the pink ribbon.

added foam stickies under the mice for dimension. my other extras are colorbox fluid chalk, a stamped flower image and viva decor pearl (center of flower) and viva decor glittle line pen for the pearl drops in the centers of the b/g paper. these pens are so cool as you can create a pearl shape with this glitter glue. the others you cant do this with :) i purchase mine at scrapbook pal as they usually have them on sale. i swear by them..theyre the BEST pearls pens and glitter liners :)

i used zoobaloo for the vulture and going places for the roundbag and tag.

i computer generated the word carrion.. its a pun for carry on.. you do know what carrion is... its decaying flesh from a dead body...ewww huh! but hey what else would a vulture have in a suitcase? ;)

for our hop i made a few things to show you ..

first i altered a wine bottle

i covered it in paper from recollections. and added some webbing for spooky fun.

the label came with the paper pack. im going to give this to my daughter as she is into bats. i know she'll love this :) the witch/cauldron are a marths stewart punch. i added a few cloud9 raindots for her bubbly brew.

the kitty is a martha stewart punch also. my daughter also loves kitties.. she has like 50 of them ;)

i filled the bottle with jelly beans for show here but will take them out and add reeses pieces her favorites :) im sure she'd prefer it filled with wine tho ;)

oh i also used a cut paper doily edge and strung some beads around the neck.
i also added a couple of cuttlebug bats. i just cut 2 of each and glued wire between the layers.
super simple but fun to make :)

next i made a card using stampin up treat cup holders. this is called a slider treat cup card i found the instructions on splitcoaststampers.

i used my cricut and paperdolls cartridge for the large ghost.
oh i forgot to take a close up of the tab on top...can you see the orange ribbon/brad on top of the card, well that makes it so the recipient can pull that tab up and the candy will slide out of the inside of the card so your cute card doesnt have to be ripped apart .. check out the tute on splitcoast on how to make this . its a whole lot easier than me trying to explain as im a visual person .

i cut out a few ghosties from the pre~patterned paper and pop dotted them for some ghost depth :)

here i used a dollar bin stamp and added some viva decor glitter liner
heres the inside . this came with the paper pack.

then i went ahead and made another card , a spinner card. another for my daughter :)

i just love scarecrows but oh my i only have one .. well until now. one of my design team sisters cindy is creating digi stamps and she so sweetly has given me this cutest scarecrow girlie..thank you so very much cindy i just adore her!

i made my first slider card :)

now..isnt this just the sweetest cutest scarecrow girlie!

i paper pieced her hair and straw parts and coveralls. i used colorbox fluid chalk to color the flowers. and also paper pieced them. check out cindys awesome card using her digi ~>here<~

my pumpkin in action. i used my cricut and stretch your imagination cartridge for it. this would be super cute with a crow instead but i dont think i have one and too lazy to look :) i also used my new SU word punch to create the slider part.

these lil pumpkins and miceys are just cut from the pre patterned paper, cosmo crickets matilda. thank you rose! if you click on the first card post you can see i used them on the panel behind the pumpkin too.

happy friday! this week over at PCC mary wants us to shake rattle and roll using a stamped , digi or cricut image of a skeleton or skull and crossbones..BUT instead of spooky CUTE :) be sure to go check out the rest of the DTs fun projects :)

i made a lil card and candy gift bag for this weeks project.

i used my cricut and hello kitty cartridge. isnt kitty so precious in her kitty costume :) i used the card feature for her. (4 inches). i made a shadow cut in black for her back side, now ya gotta glue her front and back tail together, just open the card to see where you do not want to put glue. if you put it in that area you can see the card will not open properly or the tail will tear. i didnt take a pic to show ya , sorry :)

i added skull and crossbones from the indie art cartridge to her lil spookably cute outfit and candy bag. i hand wrote in sharpie marker the saying ( thanks rose! thanks for the bags too:) ) i think you can kind of see where i did not glue the front and back of the tail here.

i added crystal stickles to the skull and doodled on it for a little whimsy

and stickled on the white part of the bag

i tied it all together with this gorgeous crinkle ribbon from prariebirdboutique.

grab your extra big cuppa whateva cuz this is going to be veeery picture heavy :)

we'll start off with my super cute g/d....bug. unfortunatly i cant photo him as hes my 3 year old daycare boy, but i can his marvelous project.prepare to be amazed :)

bug chose to use the" happy halloween" digi

he opted to use generic colored pencils. he also added stickles "cuz stars arent stars unless they sparkle"

wasnt that just an awesome piece of art! way to go bug and thank you for being my super duper guest designer :)

i chose 4 of cindys digis. first i'll show you a set of cards i made then go through the details individually

the first card is using the happy halloween image.

i used SU water color pencils, marvy markers and on bugs advice lots of stickles on this. for the eyes i used viva decor pearl pen in black. the photo looks funny but in the real they are nice and round pearl shaped, i swear!

i added a few extra die cut stars and a moon using my cricut and paper dolls cartridge. i also added lots of stickles to the stars. brushed with colorbox fluid chalk for a purply/black night sky

per bugs artistic advice. the idea to put a foam stickies under some was my own idea ;) i did get bugs approval on this :)

i dont have a computer progam to help with resizing and my printer..well. i wont place blame where it shouldnt be.. i do not have nor want the know how on resizing etc. that kind of stuff frustrates me and bores me to death, so the wording happy halloween printed wrong so i just snipped it off then added my own text. i hope thats ok cindy ;)

heres card 2 using the digi "scarecrow"

her hair isnt so green looking ITR, i swear :) i used cloud9 raindots for the bubbles around her cauldron. and glammed her duds up with stickles.

i added 2 stamped spiders, the chandelier is from my cricut and home decor cartridge. i added some rhinstones to it. do ya see the purple ribbon on the tag ..that sparkly fun is from our sponsor patsy at prairiebirdboutique. oooh its so pretty! i wanted to show that i used some dimension here on this too. i paper pieced the broom a little too and cut slits to make it look used. i also added some cotton to look like webs. looking at it now ... it look like cotton.. oh well ;)

ok now for card 3.....this is using the digi ""ghost pumpkin"

isnt this one just too cute too! the ghastly cute trio (and grass cut) on the left is the actual digi . the mummy,skull in the grass, owl , moon and candy corn are all extras from a paper pack (recollections). ( the b/g paper is cosmo) the tree is from my cricut and paperdolls cartridge. dontcha just love the look on the ghosts face look how the mummys is the same, thats why i just had to add him :) i just inked up some with colorbox fluid chalk.

here i just used a dollar bin stamp.

ok.. last one for ya here.. i used the digi "pumpkin" on this gift bag ..3 times.

so adorable huh..see why i couldnt just use him once :)

in this i added patsys awesome crinkle ribbon. im sure i told ya already i LOVE LOVE LOVE her ribbon! you will too. i have other colors that you will see when the spooky season is over :) the one i used today is a gorgeous orange :) i also added a lil felt tag with a paper tag that i wrote hey pumpkin in my chicken scratch. also some straw rafia stuff, wooden button, twine flowers.. yeah i know you can see it all youre not dummies :) i think this turned out pretty darned cute.. thank you so much cindy for letting us showcase your awesome digis girl :) i had a lots of fun playing with them and hope you like what me and my sweet lil guest designer did with them :)

cardztv "hootie halloween"

happy wednesday :) this week over at CTV were to use an owl on our cards using any cartridge. theres so many carts with such cute owls i had a hard time choosing.

i havent used my animal kingdom cart in quite awhile so i opted to use it for this challenge. i thinkthe owls go great with the awesome memorybox paper.

i used cuttlebug folder on the tree. and added cotton "lint" for webbing.hard to see sorry but crap lighting but i also used paperdolls cart for the tombstones and pumpkins and MS punch for the cat. i added stickles for owl eyes and used colorbox fluidchalk on all the cuts.

i added foam stickies for some added dimension

BBTB2 walk in my garden and blog hop

happy monday :) its the last of the month so you know what that means yep time for a bug blog hop :) if you just came from our sweet kristas blog youre on the right track if not just go back to the bbtb2 blog and youll have the start list :) at the end of this post youll get the rest of the hop details.

this week our wildly creative donna has chosen our challenge to be the wheelbarrow from walk in my garden. no worries if you dont own this one just find another wheelbarrow from a different cart or create your own using shapes from george. :) or use a wagon please make sure your project is new and fits the challenge :)

for my card every cut is from WIMG except the corner i used jasmine

i used thin foam stickies under the wheelbarrow and watering can. then added a button for the wheel

the butterflies are a martha stewart punch. i added liquid pearls to the centers of the flowers , including the flowers on the pretty prima paper. i also used a bit of color box fluid chalk .

happy friday :) this week over at PCC our theme is buttons. be sure to check out the fun projects the rest of the dt has made. and play along i love buttons so id love to see what you do with them.
heres the card i made

i used a sizzix brass embossing folder for the flowerpot. colored in with colorbox fluid chalk. i added a button in the center and to that i added stickles.

the dragonflies are buttons too. i also added a little stickles on them for sparkle

i used my cricut and give a hoot cartridge for the sun then added a button

i used 2 inks to with the stamped image (40:31 creations stamps) first in coffee then in yellow going for an embossed sort of look.

whimsical wednesdays " fall colors "

happy wednesday :) hope your week has been a good one so far..if not sorry and remember its almost over :) this week at WW were to make a card or project to celebrate fall. my absolute favorite time of year. were also to incorporate a handmade embellishment. be sure to go check out the awesome creations by the rest of the dt.
heres my card

i used my cricut and paper dolls cartridge for the pumpkin. added cloud9 rain dots for eyes and nose.

for my hand made embelli i made faux corduroy buttons. my buddy rose gave me this fantastic paper. i used a circle punch and hole punch. i need to find this paper in white or cream so i can create different colors :) whered ya get this buddy ..we need to shop !

isnt this scarecrow just the cutest.hes a sizzix die cut but i kinda messed up the embossed part of it and find it easy to just use as a stencil. he looks like a stamped image this way. i colored him in with some marvy markers.

the leaves are cuttlebug and the acorns.. ooh i handmade those too. just drew and
colored with colorbox fluid chalk.

bitten by the bug 2 "time4fun"

happy monday :) this week over at BBTB2 heather has chosen our cut to be the time4fun phrase from the cuttin up cartridge. this is another i dont own so i just compromised and used another cartridge for that. if you dont own the carts for the challenge you can do the same. be sure to go check out the marvelous creations from the rest of the DT.. sadly one very special lady is no longer on our team and she will be greatly missed. so a bbtb2 farewell to our carole. a truly inspiring class act in every sense of the word.

so.. on to my card for this week

i used zoobaloo for the time4fun. pooh and friends for the leaves and my favorite tigger. i thought the cut went cute with the text as tigger is always about the fun :) the background tree is from paperdolls, i snipped some of the branch tips off to fit the card base. of course after doing that and adding the sentiment i shoulda just left them overhang on the card..oh well.. no biggie :)

i added some thick stickie foam under tigger for dimension then adhered leaves randomnly. i curled them a bit for the extra dimension. i also just doodled on them a bit and used colorbox fluid chalk for more color and depth.
